Do anyone know of any good anti-virus websites?

I once came upon a website that could scan and get rid of viruses without having to download any software. does anyone know what I'm talking about? i can't seem to find it.

To have anti-virus protection you HAVE to have a real-time scanner. Period.

AVG Free is junk. Read the reviews. And Kaspersky (sad to say) has fallen to a ''B'' grade.

THE best free anti-virus is Avira Anti-Vir Personal. (COMODO Free may be as good, but I haven't seen a test on it yet - their free firewall is as good as any you can buy!) You just to have to put up with Avira's ''upgrade'' ads (which only show up when you boot - so if you use hibernate instead you hardly ever see them ;)

Download it and install it. (Unless you like getting viruses!)

Want a really good AV service free? www.grisoft.com offers a free updated daily program known as AV-G Free for private home use. Have used this for years and have had zero virus problems.
yes there is - although i do no recommend those type of scanners, as they're unable to ''deep-scan'' your system entirely, since they're requiring your webbrowser to keep running, since they're using either some JAVA-program or ActiveX module.
