Does Norton anti-virus slow down a computer? Seems to have done so on mine?

every program does. Especially when the program takes up a large percentage of your memory. Add more ram.

Or clean up your startup using msconfig.

Norton is the biggest resource hog ever! I say delete it at once and get yourself a real anti-virus program..

AVG....

Or AVAST....

did so on mine too...AVG is better.
Norton is notorious for hogging system resources. Best of luck uninstalling it...use Avast! or AVG, both free and don't kill your computer as much.
dont know but i recommed AVG
Yes, because it requires more memories than others.
yes it does, its constantly running and its a big program, avg is better and its free
