Norton's anti virus versus spy sweeper. do I need both, seems they both do the same thing?

Norton Anti Virus and Spy Sweeper do two different things. You need ANTI-VIRUS and ANTI-SpyWare. So KEEP both. Check the status of both and run full scans separately.

There not the same....but i like spysweeper mixed with Avast antivirus...Avast is free and I think it is much better than Norton anyway....

They dont do the same thing. Norton does not detect spyware. It is not made to fight spyware. Yeah keep both, one fights viruses, the other fights spyware.
No they are not the same thing. One is for virus checking and the otehr checks for Adware/Spyware. Personally I'd dump Norton and get aVast and also Windows Defender.
I have niether. I do have avg, free edition. It has done me quite well. No viruses , no addware.
Norton anti-virus protect your pc from virus, Spy Sweeper protects it from Spyware/Adware. They're 2 different products and yes you will need both.
