I have installed the Norton onto my old pc and very shortly after that i bought the laptop. I now have no antivirus on the laptop so wondered if i could take the Norton off the old desktop and install it onto my laptop?

yes you can if you have a norton disk it will do 3 pc's,i have done this.
if you have trouble try avg.its a free download and works quite well.you just need anti spyware to go with it but theres plenty of them free as well.
Not a chance, unless you purchased one that can be used for multiple computers (like the new McAfee 3 user license thing). Try sticking the disc in your new laptop, nothing will happen! If you downloaded it from the website you may be able to re-download, but again you'd have needed the multiple download package.
just install Norton and press the serial no when it asks it will give you an option of a norton account just say no and it will install
If you have the serial for it yes but if its only a single computer licence then you will have to remove it from the old computer before installing on the new one. Some AV companies have twigged that people have multiple computers and have developed licences for multiple computers you should get one of these products if you wish to install multiple AVs
Check on the packaging of your Norton Anti virus and if it says licenced for up to three Computers then you are O.K, other wise you will have to take it off your main Computer and install it on your laptop. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
