Download .com -these people have a big range of downloads and all of them work, otherwise they would not offer them.
AVG is good, but its daily scan is annoying. It can be disabled, buyt then you have to remember to run your own scans.

I would go with AntiVir - it's scanner is comparatively slow, but very thorough - and it's less intrusive than AVG.

I've never really rated Avast - but that's a matter of opinion. It does well in tests.
