AVG will not remove a dialer. That is a piece of software that uses your phone line to dial up a website and transmit data back to you from that website. Its most probably a porno site. In doing so it causes a long distance call, probably to Europe or some other far distant land. So you will see on your phone bill excess charges, sometimes in the hundreds of $.
To remove the dialer, do this. Use Spybot to identify it is in there and its location. Once spybot has located it, change the + to a minus, then over on right, you will see that it is part of the registry keys. click on that.
In the registry, you will see a highlighted numerical value such as 1004 (for example), click on that 1004, and rename it 1003 and reboot your computer. That will remover the dialer.
Now go to start, search, and type in the name of dialer, then delete all related C:\ files related to it.
it's a virus that collects information from your PC then sends it to the hacker for them to use either remove it or quarantine it but don't leave it in your system
Dialer.BT.d is a dialer program which hides from the user during operation. Removal of this software is advisable if it is not installed for a purpose.
i would try googling it and see what you find. It may require specific steps to remove. good luck.
Switch off System Restore as back up files may be hiding in there, and it will just restore itself. Go to Start - programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.
